September 18th Veloren update…
Just a quick post outlining some of the changes we got this time.

Metal crafting recipes have been merged, so for instance there’s now one steel recipe that covers both armor and weapons.

Recipe prices at merchants have been nerfed somewhat. Starter recipes are now 300 coins instead of 500.

The fix for mobs fleeing at the slightest hint of trouble has been merged. Mobs want your blood once again.

I’m not sure if the airship fix was merged but I haven’t seen an airship ball since the update hit, so here’s hoping.

Quests are live. You can get a quest by talking to an NPC with a name longer than one word (i.e. Sven the Shy). Hit E and ask them if they have any work. All the quests I’ve seen so far were ‘kill this mob’ type quests, and seemed to be the same mobs that NPCs would mention as rumors. I’ve been told there are escort quests too. Quests also so far only pay out 200 coins, but that’s just a placeholder reward. To turn in a quest, you have to talk to the NPC that gave it to you. If you can’t find them, you can ask other NPCs where they are, which seems to be kind of dodgy at the moment. But…it’s a start. There’s all kinds of potential here.
Also, the other server I play on, Open Veloren Server - US West, got an entirely new map and everyone got moved to Frard in the northwest. Kind of surprising how few Adlet dungeons there are around there, but there is a fair bit of Frostwood.
