Spring is slowly springing...

๐Ÿ–ฅ Emacs

I’m still getting better at both emacs itself and elisp. I’m still hoping to write some mode stuff for my own use and to sort of give back a little bit. On a less fun note, there seems to be a bug somewhere in the version of Spacemacs I’m using. If I have .spacemacs open in a buffer and use customize-group to customize somethiing, then save the changes, it breaks my .spacemacs. Not badly, easy enough to fix with a minute or two of work, but still… :P

Next I learn more about Projectile, Ibuffer, and magit.

๐Ÿ•น Gaming

Still playing Oxygen Not Included mostly. I’ve been slowly working on a version of Nathan’s Ultimate Base from the youtube channel Nathan’s Sandbox. I’m just past managing Atomic Research. Hmmm, nuclear reactors. It also looks like the latest update added what amount to mass drivers to sling stuff into space and to other asteroids.

My other gaming of late has been in Veloren, which is a voxel RPG game written in Rust. So if I ever up my rust skills, I might actually be able to contribute. It’s still in early release and many things are in yet…no quests, the NPCs are pretty useless except for merchants… But still, it’s pretty good for a free game and it’s under active development. Lots of potential…

๐ŸŒณ Springing…

The weather has sadly been getting warmer. I much prefer winter, but flowers are pretty and we can’t have eternal winter. Our trees are starting to green up too. Still…there’s hope for one more snow storm. And happy belated solstice to anyone that cares. :)

๐Ÿ“š Books

I’ve recently re-read the Galactic Center series, by Gregory Benford and now I’m diving back into Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars trilogy. Been years since I read either. :)
